YMA is a New York City-based small architecture studio currently working on projects ranging from libraries, schools and residential, to NYPD projects. We are looking for someone eager to join our firm on a full time basis and be immersed in all the aspects of an architectural firm, from project research to drafting, preparing marketing materials, office management such as updating websites and managing social media. You will be working closely with the firm's principals on a long term basis, and should be self-motivated, well-organized, and a proactive question-asker. Other qualifications we’re looking for are:
Requirements:
- Min 1 year of recognized experience.
- Excellent communications skill with fluency in written and spoken English (additional Japanese language skill is welcomed).
- Professional degree in architecture.
- Interested in developing skills in, building design, contract documentation, team leadership, technical detailing, consultant coordination, construction administration, client communications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite.
- Desire and ability to gauge time and meet deadlines.
- Current resident with all legal permits and visas required to work in USA.

The Senior Design Lead Architect will demonstrate and develop design expertise across a number of sectors, with particular emphasis on design quality, sustainability and service delivery.
The successful candidate must be a qualified Architect with experience of having worked in a similar role delivering healthcare and commercial projects.
