The Senior Architect develops technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Work is performed with minimal direction.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Primary client and consultant contact.
- Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
- May oversee the work of less experienced architects and designers.
- Prepares designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and working drawings, and develops details and edits specifications.
- Adapts and modifies design features and operational methods to meet a variety of situations.
- Prepares architectural reports and progress narratives.
- Manages the internal project production and time management budget.
- Manages project billing
Minimum Requirements Generally requires 10+ years of experience in Architecture. Master’s degree or equivalent required. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered architect in the State of Florida. Applicants must exhibit excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, client leadership and demonstrated team-building ability. Experience in direct supervision and leadership of administrative and junior technical staff as well as project coordination with owners, consultants and construction managers. Proficient in computer aided design software, REVIT preferred. Experience with contract and specification writing, Microsoft Project and Excel or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications Experience in contract documents and construction administration for large and small-scale commercial projects mandatory. Proficient at QA/QC and code research. Ability to interact regularly and professionally with technical staff. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Organizational skills with a proven track record in client satisfaction while meeting deliverable and deadline requirements.

Required Skills and Credentials:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B-Arch).
- Some work experience in an architecture firm.
- Ability to work in a design intensive, collaborative environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments; good communication skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and self-motivated to learn and problem solve.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative-Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop).
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Excellent 3D rendering/modeling skills – Rhino / V-Ray.
- Working knowledge of 3D Max.
- Physical model making skills and experience.
Additional Skills that will be considered a plus.
- Experience in digital fabrication techniques.
