David Bucovy Architect is looking for an individual to work on a number of hospitality and high–end residential projects. Some responsibilities and qualifications desired in the candidate include:
- 4+ years of work experience in all architectural project phases from conceptual design through construction administration.
- Experience with construction detailing and creating a fully coordinated construction document set.
- Design ability.
- Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Knowledge of NYC building codes and zoning resolution.
- A degree from an accredited architecture school and eligibility to work in the USA.
- An entrepreneurial, confident, collaborative, and hands-on attitude.

Our designs evolve from understanding a site's unique requirements, dictated by both its natural and built surroundings, and by the client's aesthetic desires. From initial sketches to the selection of plants, hardscape: stone, wood, and metal, irrigation, lighting, and furniture, The Organic Gardener is devoted to eloquence in form, end use, and craftsmanship.
We are seeking a highly-motivated junior designer to join our team. Immersed in a hands on environment, the right candidate will be engaged in the process of design from schematic conception, design development and detailing, though construction administration. Compensation commensurate on experience.
Requirements:
- Passion for residential design and landscape.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture of Landscape Architecture.
- 1-2 years’ experience working in an architectural design office or related field.
- Experience with shop and/or construction documents.
- Skilled in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Sketch-up modeling.
- Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and with a team.
- Communicative, with good listening skills.
- Interest in working for a small firm.
- Can legally work in the U.S.
