maa is seeking architectural designers with 10-15 years of experience for its downtown Dallas office. maa is a mid-size firm working on a wide variety of exciting project types and sizes. Our current projects include historic restoration, adaptive reuse, hospitality, multi-family, retail, office and industrial. We are looking for motivated individuals to work in a fun and fast-paced office. Successful candidates will be immersed in all aspects of architecture from design to construction administration.
Job Description:
- Provide leadership and management necessary for all facets of multiple projects and be responsible for achieving overall project goals.
- Lead and supervise the project team, including delegation of assignments.
- Lead / coordinate communication efforts with client, consultants and within the project team.
- Support and participate in Design exercises.
- Develop and define project schedule to meet contractual obligations and meet internal budgets and deadlines.
- Participation in project interviews and internal planning meetings for projects.
- Manage or review invoices for clients and consultants.
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- 5-year Bachelor of Architecture or Master’s degree.
- 10-15 years’ experience including commercial (retail/mixed-use/office), multi-family housing or hospitality projects.
- Licensure in Architecture is preferred but not required.
- Strong leadership skills - ability to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations and approval process.
- Thorough understanding of building systems and site requirements (Structural, MEP, Civil and Geo-Tech).
- Highly organized and detail-driven.
- Demonstrated leadership experience.
- Familiar with Revit and AutoCAD and proficient in Photoshop, PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Excel.
