A hugely exciting position for Architect to join an up and coming practice in the stunning Kent countryside. This recently established practice has a team of four working on a diverse mix of projects including rural housing schemes, private houses, listed buildings and exciting commercial projects. The office is located in a converted Cow shed, which the practice designed themselves, just outside Canterbury. Due to a steady increase in work, and some major upcoming projects, they are looking to take on an enthusiastic Architect with a love of design to join the team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working across all Riba stages.
- Leading projects.
- Liaising with clients and consultants.
- Manage junior members of the team.
- Working on a range of project type including care homes, barn conversions, residential and historic buildings.
- Encouraged to develop designs and set briefs, whilst also having the space to explore your own creative ideas.
Required Skills & Experience
- RIBA Part III qualified.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD.
- Possess 5 years experience PQE.
- Show ability to offer inventive design solutions.
- Show examples of building regulations, contract administration and best practices.
- Background working on Historic/Listed buildings would be highly advantageous.

- Strong design, graphic and problem solving skills.
- Bachelor of Architecture degree or a Master of Architecture degree.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional architecture practice experience.
- Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Other position qualifications include:
- Highly motivated, collaborative and professional work ethic.
- The ability to self-direct, to manage multiple tasks and to work well under deadlines.
- Experience in current digital modeling applications.
