We are looking for creative and talented candidates with:
- Design flair for preparation of planning drawings.
- Strong knowledge of UK Building regulations will be expected.
- The ability to produce quality technical and production drawings.
- Social and private housing experience essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Should be AutoCAD proficient, an understanding of is Revit preferable.

We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and results-oriented Interior Designer with experience in residential architecture to join us. Our success depends on everyone in our firm working as a creative team, primarily on residential projects in Western North Carolina and the surrounding region.
In this position, you will be involved in all phases of the design process – from Schematics and Construction Documentation through Construction Administration. A full description of the position can be found here.
Responsibilities will include:
- Interior aspects of Construction Documents and Specifications, including:
- Casework, design, details, and specifications.
- Architectural lighting design and specification.
- Interior trim design and details.
- Schedules: room finish, casework, lighting, and finish carpentry.
- Specify materials, finishes, and other selections.
- Coordinate with designers, cabinet shops, electrical suppliers, and other vendors.
- Work with Project Manager / Architect to create a well-coordinated Interior to Architecture.
- Serve as Project Manager on some projects, and work with team on other projects as needed.
- Ensure deliverables are up to date on internal servers and shared platforms.
- Maintain notes and photos from job site visits and create follow-up reports.
- Ensure sample library is up to date and tidy.
- Foster strong client relationships.

- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or related field.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Exceptional competency with CAD software in an architectural setting is required. Specific expertise in ArchiCAD would be a plus.
- Expertise in casework and electrical design and specification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Superb organizational and communication skills.
- Easy-going, but with the ability to handle deadlines under pressure.
