Project Architect with 4+ years post Part III experience in the UK, delivering both high end private and developer residential projects from inception to completion, running the project as project architect.
As project architect, the successful candidate will be the main point of contact for clients and their agent within our practice.
The role involves collating and coordinating work from our strong and experienced, Design, Technical & Structural teams.
BD duties are an integral part of the proposed role and must be based on proven experience in generating leads and converting them into projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to design and technical development but will not be expected to produce or lead production of design, technical or structural drawings and information.
We are looking for an independent, highly motivated individual, with a strong and authoritative voice, combined with flexible and collaborative approach towards client’s, consultants, and the internal team.
Primary duties will include:
- Source and participate in networking events, bring in leads and continue them to initial meetings with new clients, issue fee proposals, negotiate to sign and agree appointments.
- Lead activity related to expansion into new target sectors (boutique and design led retail, commercial and hospitality).
- Complete management of several projects in parallel from inception to completion including, full client liaison, programing and resourcing and setting and monitoring deadlines in collaboration with our Design, Technical and Structural team leaders.
- Source and facilitate appointments by clients of external consultants, liaise and monitor their work.
- Advise and guide clients with regards to all aspects of projects, including design, budget, time tables, planning, technical and structural (With full support and collaboration from our team leaders).

Duties:
Duties of a designer include but are not limited to: studies of existing and proposed buildings, preparation of project documents, code compliance and analysis, construction administration, preparation of reports and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Architecture or Masters degree from an accredited school of Architecture.
- 3-6 years work experience in an architectural firm.
- Active in IDP and progress with ARE a plus.
- Well-rounded and motivated.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and individually.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including verbal, written, and graphics.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of projects, including all design phases, consultant coordination and knowledge of the California Building Code.
- Software proficiency in Revit 2016 and AutoCAD 2016.
- Software familiarity in SketchUp, Rhino, V-Ray, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus.
