DXA studio is looking for the following candidates: Interior Designers (4+ years experience). Candidates for this position should have the following general qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters of Interior Design or Architecture.
- Strong design, presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe CS, Rhino, Sketchup; Revit a plus.
- Project management experience.
- Team leadership skills.
- Experience in construction document preparation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including ability to prepare presentation materials.
- Ability to assist on architectural projects in addition to interior design related tasks.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate past experience performing the following tasks:
- Meeting with clients to establish interior design goals for the projects.
- Preparation of precedent and concept materials for initial presentations.
- Putting together cohesive, well conceived design ideas for partner review.
- Working closely with senior architectural staff to coordinate design vision.
- Production of design presentations including team management.
- Sourcing products including materials, furniture, lighting and fabrics.
- Strong knowledge of interior detailing and furniture fabrication methodologies.
- Management of interiors budgets.
You must be available to work in New York City immediately.

This is an entry-level position that will engage a range of project types, from product design to residential construction in New York City. The scope of the position will span design, drafting (existing conditions, millwork, construction document and DOB sets) and construction administration. Candidates interested in significant responsibility and education in all phases of project development are encouraged to apply. This position reports directly to the Partners.
Pay is commensurate with experience. This position may grow to full-time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino, 3DStudioMax, Rendering, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Demonstrated experience/interest with technical construction documents and detailing.
