Part III architectural position in a friendly, award-winning, design-led RIBA chartered practice in Camden, north London.
The successful candidate should have:
- At least 2-3 years’ office experience on private residential projects in the UK.
- Excellent CAD drawing skills in Vectorworks and Sketch-Up.
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (essential).
- A commitment to modern humane architecture and to the work that needs to go into achieving it.
- Drawings that convey the scope and scale of previous office experience, and also the applicant’s approach to imaginative, fine-grain design.
- An ability to liaise sympathetically with private clients, contractors, and with other members of the office.
- Some experience of writing Schedules of Work.
- Knowledge of UK planning processes and Building Regulations.
- A willingness to share in the everyday tasks of running a small office.
- The ability to progress work rapidly and to know when to ask for assistance.
The position is full-time and intended to be long-term following an initial probationary period. Salary negotiable based on experience and suitability.

Qualifications:
- Developed skills and experience in project management, architectural design, technical expertise and leadership.
- Ability to coordinate project deliverables with team members and clients.
- Exhibit strong organizational, conceptual design, and communication skills.
- Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
- Construction Administration including processing of submittals, RFI’s, and other project documentation during construction.
- Assist in project close-out efforts.
- An interest in upcoming project management opportunities.
- Help with the success and growth of the Architecture Department.
Requirements:
- A professional, NAAB accredited degree in Architecture.
- 5-8 years of experience, preferably with aviation and other public sector design.
- Revit and AutoCAD proficiency.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.
- Registered Architect in the State of Texas preferred.
- Leed certification is a plus.
- Excellent professional verbal and written skills.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
This position is located at our corporate offices in Austin, Texas. We offer excellent employer paid benefits, paid time off, and a 401K with immediate vesting and employer matching up to 4%. We are on flex hours, which means we work 9 hour days Monday through Thursday, then leave at noon on Friday. We cover all continuing education, registration fees, dues, and relocation fees as needed.
