Our client in an internationally recognized A&E Firm with over 1700 talented individuals. They have a need for a full time Interiors Project Architect in their New York office with the below listed skills.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems.
- Advanced knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
- Thorough knowledge of buildingSMART, Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Integrated Project Delivery (IDP).
- Advanced knowledge of QA/QC process.
- Advanced knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents.
- Possess strong hand and advanced CAD drafting skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred.
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit required.
- Proficiency in NewForma preferred.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work in team environment.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture required.
- 10 plus years’ experience preferred.
- Registered Architect with current license required.
- NCARB registration preferred.
- LEED credential required within 6 months of employment.

Work Realities:
elite | studio e is a collaborative thinking environment. You’ll need to be able to work in a team setting involving other interior designers, foodservice designers, salespersons, and project admins. Our ideal candidate will need to be proficient in juggling multiple projects with fast-paced deadlines, while maintaining a creative and innovative design sense.
Duties:
Our ideal candidate will have top-notch communication skills, the ability to take a conceptual design and convert it to a visual presentation, and the talent to design a space from scratch. The applicant will be responsible for a project journey from start to finish including, but not limited to, attending meetings, conceptual design, selecting finishes, creating photo-realistic renderings, and preparing presentation material. He / she will deliver comprehensive, creative designs through the use of Autodesk Revit.
Skills:
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, including creating photo-realistic renderings.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Knowledge of 3DS Max and/or Adobe Illustrator a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Develop complete designs from preliminary concepts and sketches.
- Attention to detail.
- Creative and innovative design sense.
Education:
A four-year bachelor’s degree in interior design from an accredited program is required, but if you have solid interior design experience, lots of energy and a desire to take on new challenges don’t hesitate to apply.
Experience:
We’d like someone with 3 or more years of interior design experience. Foodservice industry experience is a definite plus.
