Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture – a New York City based architectural and interior design firm specializing in the design of evocative cultural, civic, and academic buildings that highlight public use - is seeking a talented Project Architect with 8-10 years of experience to join our team working on national design projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative studio environment.

Candidates for the position must exhibit an ability to have a leading role in energetic, fast-paced creative process. Candidates must have strong organizational skills, verbal communication proficiency, and experience with construction documentation and consultant coordination. Experience with 3D modeling, presentation, and design software is required, including but not limited to: Revit, Autocad, Photoshop, and InDesign. Architecture licensure is required and New York City experience is highly desirable.

Responsible for designing the residential skyline of New York and having recently broken into the UK industry with large scale, residential projects, a successful Architecture practice is now offering an incredible opportunity for a Technical Architect to join them on a permanent basis.

Originally founded in the United States, the company has a proud heritage of creating Architecture in the world's most complex urban environments. With a 140-staff strong office and an extremely reputable name in the USA, the practice has now established itself in the UK market, building even further on their success. Providing a range of Architectural Design and Technical services, predominantly within large scale/ high rise residential, hospitality and mixed use developments, they now seek an experienced Technical Architect with a minimum of 3 years UK experience, to join their small office in the heart of London, where the opportunities for progression are unlimited.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Architect you will be heavily involved in all stages of a large London based, residential scheme. Your position within the practice will start by working on two residential block projects simultaneously, both on RIBA stage 3, consisting on a total of 525 units. Other projects will vary and might include 20-30 storey buildings with commercial units below.

A confident and clear approach towards their clients is vital for planning meetings, as well as the ability to communicate with the American team for the purpose of project amendments.

Required Skills & Experience

- A qualified Part III (or Technologist equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience since qualifying.
- Experienced working in a UK practice for a minimum of 3 years.
- Experience in large residential / mixed use projects.
- Have excellent technical ability.
- Excellent ability in detailing and specification writing.
- Ability to manage others, be well organised and self-motivated.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Be Revit literate.
- Strong ability in AutoCAD.
- Fluent spoken and written English.

Unfortunately, applicants without Revit will not be considered for this role.

Salary & Package

£33,000 - £38,000 DOE

A Pension, Healthcare, Optical and Dental cover will be provided for all staff members, plus 20 days' holiday.

The London office is 5 minutes from Piccadilly circus, a 3-minute walk from Trafalgar square and an 8-minute walk from Green park. A wide choice of fabulous restaurants and bars are also within a short walking radius of the practice.
