Workshop/APD is a design firm specializing in both luxury home design and high-end commercial development. We actively leverage our experience to solve design challenges with innovative solutions that incorporate modern ideals/methods toward a signature aesthetic. We are currently seeking a full-time Intermediate Designer / Architect with 3-5 years’ experience.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and management of residential projects (with luxury single family and multifamily experience).
- Design and management of hospitality projects (with hotel and restaurant experience).
- Involvement in all phases of design/documentation.
- Computer modeling and rendering.
- Construction document preparation.
- Contract administration.
Applicants should have previous high-end residential and/or hospitality experience and demonstrate proficient knowledge of multi-family projects. Candidates should also demonstrate high level digital modeling and rendering abilities and competent use of all architectural design programs.
Qualifications:
- Professional Degree (B.Arch or M.Arch).
- Minimum of 3 years high-end architectural design experience (should be able to showcase finished/built work).
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD (2008 or higher), and all Adobe programs.
- 3-D Modeling and Renderings skills in: Studio Max, V-Ray, or Rhino.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Highly developed communication skills, specifically with senior management, clients, and consultants.
- Highly organized.

We are currently seeking a Junior Designer with Construction Document experience; the ideal candidate should have:
- 3 years of architectural design and construction experience.
- Mastery of AutoCAD.
- B. Arch required, M. Arch preferred.
- Excellent design and communications skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience creating a CD set with a strong emphasis on detailing of both interior projects and exterior cladding construction techniques a plus.
- Proficiency in Rhino and V-ray for drafting, modeling and rendering. Experience in grasshopper is preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite.
- Ability to start in 1-2 weeks.
