Beijing and Shanghai-based architecture studio SpActrum has designed a hotel that features an undulating sandy-looking platform inspired by sea creatures, which the island is famous for, such as nudibranch and other shellfish. Proposed as a key part of the Nanji international tourism island development in Zhejiang, in the East China Sea, the architects designed a sandy floating platform blended into the hotel, a large outdoor playground casts a shadow underneath the building above.
